Proposed Amendment to BC ENV Approval #112352

As outlined in our May 16, 2024 update post, LGCL applied to the BC Ministry of Environment and Parks (BC ENV) for a Waste Discharge Approval related to the operation of a groundwater containment system in the area of the fuel release. The Waste Discharge Approval for the containment system was issued by BC ENV in March 2025 and can be downloaded at the following website:
An application for an amendment of Approval #112352 was submitted to BC ENV in September 2025 to:
1. Add an additional five recovery wells to the containment system;
2. Add an additional five injection wells to the containment system;
3. Undergo alterations to system appurtenances.
